May I ask you a question please....Which is the first humanoid robot? The answer is simple-ELEKTRO.It was introduced in 1939 by Westinghouse.The curious 3.7 million peple lined up for watching its walking,talking and cigarette smoking.
A Televox unit which could convert the human voice into electronic pulses was included in it and with the help of a telephone handset it was able to trigger any of the 12 motors thereby controlling him.But Elektro never made way into a home due to the fact that it was about seven meter tall.

Robotics- It is the engineering science and technology of robots, their design, manufacture, application, and structural disposition.
